2010 Carp Fest pt. 1
|
July, 2010 - The 31st Annual
Archbold Carp Festival will feature an abundance of activities this
year. We're talking with some of the planners of this year's
event who invite everyone to come to Archbold July 15-17 where they
will truly have something for everyone!
Later this month, we make a stop at the Fulton County Fairgrounds for two fun events. The first event is sponsored by the Fulton County Humane Society and is a fund-raiser to help get this organization established. The second event brings in people from all over the country who are part of the Crosley Automobile Club. We'll visit with some of the members of this national club and find out what makes the Crosley so unique in automotive history. |
| 2010 Black Swamp Benefit | June, 2010 - The 9th Annual Black Swamp Benefit will be held June 18-19 at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. On this program, we will be featuring a special preview video of this upcoming event. |
| Shelly Kiser - American Lung Association | March-April 2010 - On this show we examine the dangers of alternative tobacco products and how they are being marketed to teens and other unsuspecting users. Three experts share their information with us including Shelly Kiser with the Ohio branch of the American Lung Association, Cheryl Horn from the Toledo Hospital and Sharon Morr from the Fulton County Health Center. |

| John and JoAnn Moats trip out of Haiti | January, 2010 - The earthquake in Haiti has been all over the news recently. On this program we will talk with John and JoAnn Moats who were in Haiti when the earthquake struck and hear about their trip out of the country. We'll also talk with Rev. David David of the Archbold United Methodist Church who has been to Haiti dozens of times through his involvement with the International Child Care organization. |

| Sauder Village Pioneer Settlement |
September-October, 2009 - The
Sauder Village in Archbold recently opened a brand new area called
The Pioneer Settlement. We'll take you a brief tour around the
settlement and show you what life was like back in the late 1800's.
Also on this program, Serenity Haven in Fayette has helped hundreds of women with chemical dependencies clean up their lives. We'll talk with Ken Bond of Recovery services of Northwest Ohio about the program and we'll talk to Ed Hughes, author of the book "Baffled by Addiction" about how families can understand and respond to a loved one with an addiction. |

| NW Ohio Rails-To-Trails part 1 | July, 2009 - Years ago the Wabash Cannonball steamed through this part of Ohio. Today the tracks are gone but the path still remains where the train used to run its course. The Northwest Ohio Rails to Trails organization has taken over ownership of this path and turned it into a walking trail that starts just west of Montpelier and goes all the way to Toledo. Another leg comes out of Toledo and goes southwest ending near Liberty Center. On this program, we'll talk to some of the members of NORTA and show you some of the more scenic parts of this trail. |
| CD Release Party and Performance from the group "1AD" | May-June, 2009 - This is a very unique program! We'll introduce you to an area band and take you to their CD release party in Archbold. Also on this month's program, the Sunshine Bazaar will be taking place at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. We'll give you a preview of some of the activities that will be going on. |
| Drug Free Coalition - Sheriff's Dept & County Prosecutor | April, 2009 - On this very special program, the Coalition for a drug free Fulton County is working to preserve lives and do something positive in the fight against drunk driving and drug abuse in our local area. We’ll hear information from the county prosecutor’s office and share two very powerful testimonials about the effect that substance abuse can have on a person’s life and family. |

Cecily Rohrs Part 1

March, 2009 - Cecily Rohrs knows a thing or two about homelessness. Not that she's experienced it herself, but she has worked with many who have. In a very insightful interview that will probably change the way you think about those who are less fortunate in our area, Cecily talks about her involvement with the Friendship House in Archbold and a group called Shepherd's Circle who walks hand-in-hand with these people. | Kenneth Ladd-Magician | July, 2008 - Our July program is a busy one as we make stops in Wauseon, Tedrow and Archbold. Pastor and Magician Kenneth Ladd of Wauseon is getting ready to receive special recognition for his years as a magician. We'll hear about this and see a few tricks first-hand in front of our cameras. Also in the show, the Fulton County Amateur Radio Club holds their annual field day and the Archbold Community Theatre gets ready to perform "The Wizard of Oz." |
